What is Search Engine Optimisation (SEO)?
Many Web companies will promise to get you to number 1 on Google, or put you above the competition, I’ve never understood how they can do this by following Google’s guidelines!
Search Engine Optimisation is essentially making your website friendly to Search Engines by coding them well, and presenting them with well written content. SEO is an ongoing process and one that needs to be taken seriously, at the end of the day if nobody can find your website, how is it ever going to provide a high ROI?
My SEO Services
I offer an SEO package where I will review your site, and put forward my suggestions for content changes, code changes and optimising the site in a way that will benefit both Search Engines and visitors.
Google changes its algorithm regularly, all you can do to guarentee good rankings on a search engine is to provide good, clean content in the correct way.
Search Engine Optimisation – Dos
- Start a blog
- Write good content
- Be active on Social Media
- Allow people to easily share your content
Search Engine Optimisation – Do Nots
- Pay people for back links
- Stuff keywords into your content
- Copy content from other sites
If you do anything on the “Do Nots” list you are asking for trouble. You might see short term gains but you will get caught and you will be punished and that means that you’ll lose traffic, business and you won’t be able to recover for years.
