Project Brief

I have worked with Trentham Beds in the past so I had a good understanding of the business to begin with. Shaun from Trentham Beds requested a modern, clean design that looked great on all devices. Competition in the Bed industry is high so it is essential to make a great first impression. We needed to meet the following criteria:

• Responsive Design
• Gallery to show the store and products
• Modern, stylish photography throughout
• Follow the Trentham Beds branding scheme
• Easy to contact the store

The Process

I opted for a clean Website Design and one that I thought worked well with the vibrant colour scheme of the Trentham Beds logo. Choosing a patterned background, with a white inside content area, I think it accentuates the clear, beautiful photography throughout the site.

The main process was migrating the site from a standard HTML website to one that is managed by WordPress. Over time this will save both time and money for Trentham Beds and also allow me to provide a much better service in the long term.

One of the tasks that was essential is to make sure that visitors to the site can easily contact the store. I completed this by adding a contact form in the Footer, it doesn’t matter what page somebody is on, they can always find the opening hours and have the ability to email the store. By doing this, we are expecting enquiries to increase massively. Little things like this make a huge difference to client interaction with a website.
